Pristine Beaches and Coastal Wonders

Perth boasts some of the most breathtaking beaches in the world. With over 19 pristine beaches along its coastline, it’s a paradise for sun-seekers and water sports enthusiasts. Cottesloe Beach, with its turquoise waters and golden sands, is a picture-perfect spot for swimming and sunbathing. For those who prefer a more secluded experience, head to the lesser-known but equally stunning Leighton Beach or Trigg Beach.

Awe-Inspiring Natural Landscapes

Beyond its beaches, Perth is surrounded by remarkable natural landscapes. Just a short drive from the city, you can find yourself in the heart of the Australian Outback. The Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park is a surreal alien landscape filled with limestone pillars that creates a subdued atmosphere unlike any other. Don’t forget to catch the sunset here, as the colors reflecting off the honeycomb like pillars are a sight to behold. It’s also extraordinary at sunrise, which is my favourite time to explore, where the only sign this is a popular tourist attraction are the footprints left in the sand.

Street Art

A bonus reason to visit Perth is the street art. Perth is the 12th most liveable city in the world, and we rank 2nd in the country for street art, not bad for the most isolated city in the world. Stunning murals adorn many public spaces, new building developments, derelict buildings, and city and neighbourhood laneways.  Helping to achieve this ranking is Wellington Dam, the world’s largest dam mural and the Adnate hotel, one of the world’s largest mega murals spanning a monumental 25 storeys.
